Certified Educator of Infant Massage Training

For the Four-Day Training

Students must bring a doll, approximately 20 to 30 inches long, with a soft, cloth body, plastic head, hands and feet are ok, preferably with open eyes and fingers, in order to actively learn, practice and demonstrate the strokes each day.  The doll must have clothing that can be easily removed and replaced. This doll will be your model, and it will become a very personal and professional part of your class that reflects you and your teaching with parents and their babies. 

For the Certificate Completion:

Students must complete the take-home study/exam and a five family practicum teaching (in group/s or individual sessions) within 4 months or with possible extensions up to one year from the training dates.  In some countries, this may be accomplished on the last day of training by spoken and/or written examination. These requirements are the same in the IAIM, hq Sweden, USA Chapter and worldwide to qualify for international certification to teach anywhere in the world.

Recommended reading list for fulfilling the required take-home study exam and teaching after the training: Students must find and read one other related book.

About the Trainer:

JoAnn Lewis, LMT, CEIMT, Director of the Family Massage Education Center in Ashland. 
Since 1997, she has taught infant massage classes to parents as a CEIM, Certified Educator of Infant Massage with the IM-USA and the Belgium Chapter and in 2005 became an International Trainer. She is a Master Massage Therapist with a full time practice since 1995 and has trained thousands of families and hundreds of educators.

Hours:

Training will be held from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm each day.

There will be a one-hour break for lunch (on your own) and 15-minute break periods mid morning and afternoon.
